Squid1553552671 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics-photography/Home-audio/Speakers-and-stands/Floor-speakers/auction-330468319.htm Dang these coming up for sale when I don't have the readies to buy 'em. Can someone here please buy them for me and keep them in a clean, dry, not too sunny, smoke-free, child-free, cat-free, nagging wife-free environment until my house sells (it's on the market) and I can then buy them from you? You should also leave them in the boxes and NOT listen to them in case you fall for them and not want to sell them on to me. Much appreciated.
Brian Ono Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Am I imagining things or is there alot more 2nd hand tasty hifi gear being offered.
guitardude Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Sorry dude, No way I could buy them for you, thats serious guitar money !!
gooki Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Who tries to sell such a wonderful speaker with side on photos only?
aarond1553552714 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Hmmmmm, consider adding this to drive them: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics-photography/Home-audio/Amplifiers-tuners/auction-330071764.htm Too big for my room. I'm sure.

nixon76 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I saw and briefly heard Franco Serblins latest the other week. Seeing the grill 'strings' (as per the Cremona) vibrate with music just added to the feeling that the whole thing was a musical 'instrument'. http://www.francoserblin.it/ktema/photo4.php

Squid1553552671 Posted November 9, 2010 Author Posted November 9, 2010 Actually, I'd be quit tempted to try the SF's with these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=329328232 Someone please buy these too and I'll come and have a listen when I've sold the house and decide then if I really want them both. Any takers??

I'm sure. That is probably THE deal of the year. (I have no commercial associations with the seller). I would be in there like a shot if I had a). the spare coin, b). the room, and c). a small fusion reactor.

Any takers?? Yeah sure SQuid. I can just about manage that, for you only, of course. But I'm afraid you'll ink me if you don't like them! I'm really tempted as these SF's aren't as dark as some of the past ones, work well in small spaces but still have the SF sound signature that I love. But then I'd have to upgrade my amp etc...:-(

Squid1553552671 Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 I read somewhere that it uses 550W idle! Bloody hell - I hope it has slots in the top big enough to fit a couple of slices of Vogels in!
Squid1553552671 Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 SOLD! With Buy now. So, which one of you guys out there is Blade30? I see you live in Auckland so that'll make pick up for me nice and simple. When can I come and have a look at them while you have them on hold for me? We need to arrange this so that you can quickly get them back into their storage boxes. I also want to ensure that they will be stored as per my specific instructions mentioned earlier. Thanks again Blade30 - look forward to catching up.
eRaS1553552749 Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Someone got a bargain!! As always, I feel this sense of loss and languish, when something like this sells, and it's not to me...
