Last time I was in the Christchurch shop they had some great box sets locked away in a cabinet, but their prices were right at the high end.

My daughter called me on Sunday afternoon from said spot and yes, they were still at full retail. :( Kinda wanted some off those.... :)

Wife and I both had a go - ended up with 16 CDs (8 each). Highlights are some old stuff that we only had on tape or record (Cure- Head on the door, Depeche Mode - Violator) and picked up Noah and the Whale.

Thanks MoshowNZ - I picked up a heap of albums including:

3 Elaine Elias Brazilian CDs

Gonzalo Rubalcaba's Cuban Quartet

'Balladyna' Tomasz Stanko

Kenny Durham - 'Una Mas'

Amy Winehouse - 'Frank'

Ron Sexsmith - Exit...

Pat Metheny/Charlie Haden - 'Beyond the Missouri Sky'

Neil Young - 'Decade'

Brian Wilson - 'Smile'

and a whole heap of CDs for the boss & the kids.

Like gt said - the pop stuff had been well plundered, but there was plenty of great jazz left untouched. Thanks again for the heads up :-)
