Nice clip D !

This track got a nice promo on Saturday's Hidden Treasures

Now the big Q; is your new album coming out on vinyl ?

Posted

D;

Just listening to New music with Sean McKenna on Nat Radio.

He mentioned you originally recorded this album solo.

Any chance of releasing the "naked" version ?

Ha they're not exactly 'naked' bro. I played drums, bass, organ, and guitars on 'em ... they were ok but I decided to use my band instead for a more live feel.

The Bitter Suite was recorded by me alone - so that's from the original sessions.

Sorry mate, we just couldn't afford to do that. I wish though, and we kept the phase relationships absolutely perfect so we could actually remaster for vinyl at some stage in the future with very little effort.

Thanks for the info re your new album.

Unfortunately, I'll need to wait until it is released to put in my order. Smoke CD's don't have it listed as yet for pre order.:(

No connection.... just got the idea for the song after reading John Irving's 'Until I Find You', which features a place called Saint Hilda's Academy For Girls.
:)

It's funny what can fire up the song writing engine sometimes.

I see Irving's book is set in Canada, but I wonder if he was inspired by St Hilda's college in Oxford, which was exclusively for girls ( now mixed ).

On the first day of release :)

It won't be too far away, maybe there is some trade embargo between NZ and AU due to the poor Aussie form in the rugby :D

The CD finally turned up today, unfortunately I doubt I'l get a chance to have a listen until the weekend.

One thing that has annoyed me, and I have to admit it's not something I took any notice of before when purchasing from Smoke CD's is they don't credit the GST.

I buy from two other sources in NZ for music, in particular NZ artists, and both credit off the GST which more than pays postage etc.

Never-mind, I have it know and I'm looking forward to sitting back and having a listen. :)

Ok. I've relented and gone 'online'.....

You should be able to get it on iTunes soon but in the meantime you can get 320k mp3s from:

Oh yeah.... we're 'bubbling' under on the Kiwi FM Top Ten and number one sales at Real Groovy in Wellington at the moment. Now if we could just convince the rest of the country.....

Bing bong . . . that is all. :)
