got tinnitus Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Call me a snob...... But, um, there is a dude here that uses "base" instead of "bass". When I first saw it I was, like, get me a rifle. But now I'm, like, that's soooo cute. I'd love to be like that. No it's not ignorance, it's "I just don't give a shit". The english language is awesome though. We had a story down here in the papers of a 16 year lad rooting a donkey in broad daylight and in plain view of houses up on a hill! Gave another meaning to the saying "One man's donkey is another man's ass".

ilikecrumpets Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 It was Radar. He has an affinity for beast and fowl
ilikecrumpets Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 How about a pair of LIKE NEW for sale? Anybody heard them?? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics-photography/Home-audio/Speakers-and-stands/Floor-speakers/auction-320058630.htm
Nak-Mad Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010  feedback say it all.... seller must have originated from Whanganui... Whilst I don't pretend to be a perfect purveyor of the Queens English...you have to cringe sometimes...

Now I'd pay to see that !! Have you seen the movie Mr crumpets? Due on DVD sometime this month. Youtube the trailer if you must......
Ernie1553552694 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Multiple scatalogical references in the one (assembled) body. I'm not sure if I'd pay money to watch that. An Audioenz specimen would be even less of my bag (my stomach contents would be going in reverse) if I had to watch that.
sub Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Hmm, how about an LPs "backside"? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Music-instruments/Vinyl/LPs-33-RPM/Rock/auction-320925412.htm
Brian Ono Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 It will be interesting to see if he reachs his reserve. Not particularly rare.I remember a ticket album going for over $250,which I would have thought was far rarer. Not to mention the lack of spelling ability.
Declannz Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Yeah. It's not like it's original Verve Zappa. These usually show up for between $40 and $60, depending on condition. Musicstack, like Gemm and others are full of people who seem to not know where decimal points are supposed to go. It makes people like this think they are sitting on a gold mine.
kiwizig Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 He's dreaming with a starting bid of $330 and looking at the cover it hardly looks Mint!

Antipodes1553552706 Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I ran out of fingers counting the errors (even ignoring the lack of fully formed sentences and full stops) in that listing. It's a classic.

aarond1553552714 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Better be one at least for this asking price. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics-photography/Home-audio/Speakers-and-stands/Home-theatre-sets/auction-322094138.htm Complete with pushed in front tweeters and 'Glutinous' rear paint. The mind boggles at that last one.
Ernie1553552694 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 The seller must be a foodie. I like glutinous rice too, but not on my speakers.

A quick search found over 40 listed , most around to US$12 to $20 mark. There's some real dreamers out there.

Ernie1553552694 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Very average. Where is Anne Tolley when you need her.
Ernie1553552694 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Oh that's right, teaching teechers how to suck uggs.
Papa Hemi Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Anne is the guest speaker at ULearn this morning. I'm not going...
