Ayou21553552688 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010  I'll be the first to admit I have generally heaped scorn on this brand, but I also have to admit when I hear something quite extraordinary. http://worldwide.bose.com/axa/en_au/web/computer_musicmonitor/page.html Anyone else heard these ? Impressions ? Cheers
nixon76 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Yes, reasonable reviews for that one.
Shane Hanify Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Yep, heard those briefly in a shop. Not too bad but wouldn't be my choice at anywhere near that price point. Cheers, Shane.

Thanks for your reply
Ernie1553552694 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Focal, B&W, Nuforce, Klipsch, Logitech, M-Audio...
Electra Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I think that ernie's suggestions only compete on price. They out compete the bose offering ( If their the same ones my brother so proudly displayed to me last time I was at his place ) in all other aspects.
Hifi Si Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 haha yep! Did you get your hands on an airport express? I could lend you mine, but they can be a complete ass to configure and retain their config. If you promise not to reconfigure it you can borrow it (means you may need to setup another SSID on your router)
got tinnitus Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 You will get friends and visitors saying "Oh, BOSE! Cool". They certainly won't go "Oh, Genelec! Cool."

mechanism Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 I actually own a pair of these. Like all bose they have big sound for their size. Heaps of high freq bass, but absolutely no definition in the bass area, all sounds like one note. Top end is bright and sparkly, with a massive scoop in the mid range. Good for impressive sound taking up as little space as possible. But to be honest, the Bose Companion 3 sounds way better. I think these are way overpriced (like all Bose) for sonic performance. But having said all this, I still like their style, size, and for non critical listening they are pretty good. I got mine free by the way, I can't really justify paying $599 for them.
bellapl1 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 AudioEngine A2's are cheaper, and I'm sure sound better and are not much bigger, smaller than they look in pics.
