curiousgeorgenz Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Is there a good source of quality RCA connectors and speaker binding posts for an amplifier in New Zealand? Or is it a case of buying from overseas?
curiousgeorgenz Posted September 16, 2010 Author Posted September 16, 2010 Something from Cardas, Vampire or Edison Price Music Posts. Nothing as expensive as WBT, Furutech, etc.
Robocop Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 You can order WBT's from Soundline and there is Australian, Eichmann got mine mail order from Totally Wired. I find Eichmann's a bit delicate not something you want to abuse, plastic tends to fail if overtightened. WBT's are very robust although copper is very soft. Otherwise mail order from US Hi-fi parts sites like www.percyaudio.com or www.partsconnexion.com. I use Eichmann speaker binding posts and latest WBT Nextgens RCA's(these match nextgens on nordost cables). I had to wait for 4 weeks to get Nextgens but well worth it. Something from Cardas, Vampire or Edison Price Music Posts To my knowledge these are not available here but those two sites I mentioned have them. They are highly rated also.
Owen Y Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 The Edison Posts have been obsolete for a while ?
Antipodes1553552706 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I have some spare loose (not in boxes) Eichmanns.
Antipodes1553552706 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Actually, I have a few Furutechs still in their box and I also have DH Labs Ultimates. I am happy to pass these on at very good prices - it isn't something I want to make a business out of and can sympathise with the cost of importing a single set of four connectors.
