Who sells CD storage boxes?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for boxes that will store CDs in their jewel cases, not in sleeves. I've tried Warehouse Stationery and office supply companies etc but with no luck. They all sell sleeve devices which are useless for a music collection.

Does anyone know where I can buy suitable boxes?

Nigel.

How many items do you wish to store in each box?

Try shoe boxes. They do vary in size, but take a CD case to a local shoe shop and see what they have. Alot of people don't want the boxes when buying shoes.

I'm lucky as my other half has a shoe collection almost as big as my CD collection! I've got two CD shelf units and when they get full, before having a clean out, I keep the leftovers in the shoe boxes. Plus alot of other stuff that I sort of don't want to get rid of, but don't really want to play

Or try these people as commercial suppliers of cardboard boxes.

I've looked at off the shelf plastic storage units but haven't found quite the right dimensions.

The warehouse were selling plastic storage boxes (you bought them flat and folded them together)which stored approx 30 cds.I think it was about $15 for 5

I went to the Warehouse in Blenheim Road Christchurch but they had no knowledge of a CD storage box.

If you do a search of US web sites there's plenty of choice. Why no options in Zuld I wonder?

So all you blokes who have ripped their CDs to hard drives, what have you done with your CDs? You can't all be storing them in shoe boxes.

Mine all sit in a rack at the back of the room. I still like to spin disc's occasionally, and/or make up compilations for GTG's etc. 90+% of the time I'm streaming via the Cullen Modded Sonos zone in my HT room and/or via other Sonos zones around the house.

Hi Richard,

Lovely room, practical rack.

Are those still 602s at the back? Are you still driving them with the Elektra Theatre 7?

Hi Nigel,

You have a good memory.

Yes they are B&W 602's at the rear, with custom dipoles on the side using SEA's drivers, and all driven by the Elektra Theatre 7. The mains are now active and so I've sold my 2ch amp and have one spare channel on the Elektra which was driving the centre.

PS I've just added another toy to my lineup. I'm hopeless when it comes to buying toys :o

sorry didnt scan too well but.....
