Continually seeking to expand my musical horizons.

Currently exploring in the direction of what has been referred to as “Texas blues/rock”, electric guitar driven with a recognisable beat – example ZZ Top before they went all soft and soggy, perhaps a slightly harder version of SRV.

Have recently purchased some “Somkin Joe Kubec” – flashes of brilliance served with buckets of mediocrity.

All ideas gratefully received

Definitely SRV. How about his older brother Jimmie. 4 guitars from Texas. Doug Sahm, he is mainly Tex Mex style but some songs are. Fabulous Thunderbirds. Johnny Winter. Anson Funderburgh. Clarence Gatemouth Brown. The Leroi Brothers. Tailgators. Omar and the Holwers. Omar with JV……………………. These are just some of the ones that come to mind.

How about
?
Really
good music.

Yeah, saw him in Wgtn. Fantastic concert. He was just one amazing performing, very tight band.

John Campbell? never heard of him, but I shall do some hunting for his music

Let me know what you think. T110 introduced me to him and I think he's amazing. (John Campbell, not T110 - he's dodgy). :D
