An oldie but a goodie...

What's the difference between a bull and an orchestra that doesn't care for its conductor ?

The bull has its horns up front and its asshole at the back, the orchestra has the horns at the back and the asshole up front.

:P

Why did the amp hum? It didn't know the words.

Ahhhhh hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Here's one I made up. Are you ready for this? It's a real gem....

Why did the audiophile cross the road?

To get to the other side!

Ahhhhh hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

1.No , it's not new ; I've had it for ages but I've just re-arranged the gear.

2. It' s just on demo , I'm not interested in buying it.

3. I didn't buy all those LP's , they just breed overnight like tribbles ( Jeez woman , don't you know your Star Trek?)

4. No , there is no such thing as too many records.

5. I WILL listen to that pile one day.

How many hi-fi journos does it take to change a light bulb?

Two. One to change the bulb and another to write a glowing review.

-----------------------------------------

Which vaguely segues into:

How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs

1 to move it to the Lighting section

2 to row then move it to the Electricals section

7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs

5 to flame the spell checkers

3 to correct spelling/grammar flames

6 to row over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"

15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct

19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum

36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty

7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs

4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's

3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy

4 to say didn't we go through this already a short time ago?

13 to say do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

An audiophile is dating three women and wants to decide which to marry. He decides to give them a test. He gives each woman a present of $5,000 and watches to see what they do with the money.

The first thinks “mancave” and decides a new turntable would make a perfect gift. So she heads off and buys a Kuzma Stabi S. Fully specced, carbon steel, multi pivot points, stable non resonant platform – its the works. She tells him that she has done this so he can get more accurate reproduction from his collection because she loves him so much. The man was impressed.

The second goes shopping to buy speakers. She gets him a set of Whise Electrostats – second hand but fully run in. Its got fully balanced PAM subwoofer technology for a powerful bass experience. As she presents her gift, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she knows how much he loves the “sound” rather than the music and she loves him so much. Again, the man is impressed.

The third wants to really impress. She stumps up for a Bose Lifestyle System. Powerful Jewel Cube Speakers, video upscaling to 1080P and fantastic ADAPTiQ technology. She tells him that she wanted him to experience music with the emotional intensity as the love she felt for him. Obviously, the man was impressed.

The man thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money, and.......then he married the one with the biggest boobs.

Men will be Men.
