Cheapskate that I am, I'm always looking for bargain, great sounding hifi.

These Digitrac 200 NE (nude-elliptical) cartridges were made by Ortofon in the late '80's. Sometimes the bodies don't work (both mine did!), but the stylus is what you want, and they fit the Ortofon OM, OMB and Super OM bodies. Sound great, I ordered more! Cheap postage also. Buy them here...

Have hi-fi fun,

Paul :)

ps. Has anyone found any other super-bargains out there is internet land?

Thanks for the link and what a great price. I've ordered one!

I have an OMP10 on a Technics SL-6 in my office. Always wanted to get a 20 but it was always hard to justify. This is a no-brainer!

Did you replace an OM10? Are you happy with the result?

Thanks again.

I never had a om 10, I just had a om body in the spares box someone gave me. Sounds great, and amazing to get a high quality stylus profile for so little.

Just to bump this up;- the link seemed good when I last checked, and certainly a good price for the OM20E stylus, considering NZ-OZ prices!

Anybody here tried them?

Yeah, should sound better than the Ortofon Red that people rave about!

Well I don't how long ago you got yours but paypal has just notified me that the order has been cancelled and my money has been refunded.

It would appear the deal no longer exists...lucky you for getting some early.

Maybe all the AK crowd snatched up all the remaining stock.

I've tried to ring but without joy so I'll try again later. Looks like I'll be stuck with my 10 (not so bad of course) dreaming again of an upgrade. :(

I know this wasn't necessarily directed at me, but hey ... I have a Technics SL-6 too!

A TM buy, around $100 or so ... I immediately upgraded the stock Technics spherical P-mount stylus to the elliptical version, a good deal from styli.co.nz (who are also surplustronics)

Pity it's an all plastic deck, not quite presumably up to the heights of the SL-10 or equivalent programmable SL-15 metal decks with MC carts, etc. but I've been quite pleased with the few discs i've played on it ...

http://thevintageknob.org/TECHNICS/SL15/SL15.html (and included links)

I even had subversive ideas of reversibly removing the whole arm, sensor, & control mechanism, & trying it on a solid plinth idler drive ... but that's another story!

My original interest in the OM20E was for the OM10 (also E) I had on the also all-metal Akai deck I recently advertised for sale ...

http://audioenz.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=9083

A fellow forum member has shown interest in buying it, but I've since discovered a flaw in my signal cable rewiring, and have had to re-do it ... some delay!

I hope he hasn't lost patience with me!

Sad to hear that the deal might be off for the OM20; thanks for the report!

Hey Ross,

Hope you get the work done and the unit sold, good luck.

I have always had a thing for Technics linear trackers, I like the build quality and the associated benefits of the linear design.

I have a SL-10 as my main table, it has been my pride and joy for many years and I love it! Over time I have also collected two SL-6's an SL-5 (currently needing some work) and I still have my first tracker a SL-J1 that I bought new many years ago. So kind of a fan of the concept, not exclusively though as I also have a SL-Q202 & a SL-B303, both reasonable tables and all get a spin now and again.

I 'll probably continue down the Ortofon upgrade path but in due course, the only one I dread replacing will be for the SL-10. It will take a quality (expensive) cart. to do the table justice. Cheers

Pity to hear they have sold out. I bought 5 on my last order. Hey, all you Technics turntable users, I'm looking for a Technics P-mount cartridge body, the epc-p205. Anyone got one kicking around?

Hey Paul,

Sorry can't help with that one. After a look around in my spares box I have a heap of no name stylii for various technics p-mounts and one P23 & a P30 cart. Neither have been used for quite soom time, and unless I break an Ortofon, probably won't ever be used.

Didn't the P205 come with the SL-15? The SL-10 came with a 310MC which is unobtainable. Might be available second hand but always risky as they will be very old now.

As for links:

These guy's list a replacement needle but not an original cart. Looks like they have a replacement cart option (scroll down) but I have no idea of the quality.

http://www.turntablebelts.com/panatech.htm

Also the following list a number of new p-mount options:

Good Luck!
