This is from the WAA, a pro-audio oriented group in Wellington. They have some interesting events. ie last month a visit to Parliament to look over the new sound system in the debating chamber.

 

This months event may be of interest to members here. You don't have to be a member, just turn up and pay your $5.

On Tuesday 15 September we will be trying something new mixed with something familiar. The familiar bit is the venue; downstairs at Bodega. The new bit is four short separate presentations.

 

WAA el presidente Gary Weatherhead; getting the most from your Ipod

 

Phil Oatley from Park Road Post; archiving/backing up your original audio data/files

 

Marcus Wilson from Audio Analysis; restoring & transferring your old tapes

 

John Neill from Park Road Post; converting your vinyl to digital

 

The quickfire nature of these presentations means that you get excellent bang for your buck (or high signal to noise ratio), so be sure to join us as these experts from our own ranks share some pearls of wisdom!!
