LOTR 'lost in the crowd' ?

Lost in the crowd?

Pigs Arse

More like they wanted a chance to sell some of the "classics" without everyone assigning their hard earned cash to a pretty much guaranteed "must buy" like LOTR, that and as they say, the install base of BR players after these hols is likely to be significantly higher (particularly with PS3 now "reasonably priced") so the uptake of LOTR trilogy will most likely be much higher in March.

Why wouldn't people buy it now rather then in march? Do they not know they if they will be getting blu ray players this xmas? (hard to put my question in words).

I buy things for stuff i don't have that i know i'll be getting.

Rant aside, i think the whole lost in the crowd thing is a laugh.

I am sure that they are protecting the sales of the other movies rather than LOTR. They will be banking on the rabid LOTR fans to buy the TE as they can't wait to watch them on HD and then when they release the EE the same fans will buy them as well. I am sure there are lots of people that will do this who have more dollars than sense.

It pisses me off no end when they do things like this and give us crap transfers like Gladiator. I for one will not buy until they release the EE on HD.

Just thinking how many new bluray owners would buy these films with or just after getting their player for Xmas. Not to mention all those new PS3 Slim owners wanting to pick up a triple pack to kick off their collection.

Simply releasing films like LOTR with good advertising would get more people interested in the format, or so I would have thought anyway.
