Briz Vegas
Tesla....again. Tesla has to do everything differently and that includes the car alarm. Almost no Tesla’s have been successfully stolen, mostly due to the always online nature of the car. Smash and grabs ( from the boot ) were a different matter, until now. What does your car alarm sound like?. This ( below) is literally the audible warning on a Tesla in Sentry mode if you break the rear quarter glass, or similar. It’s not quite music as a weapon, but Tesla uses very loud uncompressed music to draw attention to the car and the would be thief. It’s interesting but I’m not sure how effective it would be. .......and this is the explanation. https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-sentry-mode-speakers-sound-engineer/ Dog lovers will be pleased to know that the system is integrated with “ dog mode”. I can only presume that the dog ( enjoying air conditioned comfort inside the parked car) makes the noise rather than the stereo when dog mode is enabled. Some of this Tesla stuff is doing my head in. I can’t wait for red/white wine mode that chills your chosen vintage bottle to perfection........I just made that up by the way. GregWormald
A few years ago the boss lent me his car while he was OS, except he forgot to tell me where the off switch for the custom alarm was. It took me about 10 minutes to find it, with the alarm blaring all the time. A number of kind people made suggestions as to where it might be, but no "I'm calling the police", and no police. "Bloody idiot--imagine leaving your car with the stereo blaring like that!"

Great choice I say, far better than repiticious car horn pounding away for ages....

audiofeline
The very low powerful notes on a pipe organ can do some serious damage to speakers when played loud.
