EXPIRED WTB: GALE GS401A Speakers (and stands?), Yamaha A-S2100 Amp Adelaide

Item: Gale GS401A Speakers and Yamaha A-S2100 amp

Condition: Used

Location: Adelaide (if possible)

Price: depending on condition but up to $1000 for speakers and $1500 for amp?

Additional detail:

I’ve always admired these speakers and I’d be keen to give them a shot, from what I’ve heard they can be a bit temperamental with tweeters blowing so would much prefer a local sale where I can listen to them and not risk transport

 

Love the look of these amps in silver with the light wood sides, kept my eye on the forum and on gumtree with no luck thus far, if anyone is thinking of selling let me know!

FYI there’s a pair of speakers on eBay at present in good nick but interstate and $1500.

Great speakers, had mine for many years! If the plan is to use the yamaha to run them, I'd suspect other options may be preferable. See if you can dig up a NAD S300 maybe.

I’ve heard good things about the speakers!

Yamaha is for some Duntechs, I’ve got a DK Designs reference that has a bit of grunt to it but may need to reconsider amp choice if/when I get my hands on some Gales

Good to have choices as you do right now.

 

You may have to allocate more on the speakers than the amp, but that's often how it works out. At least you can take your time getting the amp you might want later.
