Functionally it has some issues Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Selling SME 3009 Series 2 Improved with Fixed headshell tonearm. [Good] + It cosmetically mint + complete rewire with silver litz plated wire were done by professional + RCA conversion was done by professional [Bad] - left channel has no sound. (I suspect resoldering is required either headshell or RCA Plug side). - horizontal bearing need to be looked at because when stylus dropped onto vinyl, it does not move freely inwards but stay at the spot. When I move the tonearm with hand, it seems smooth. I presume that horizontal bearing is not smooth or frictionless enough. The person who did the work on this tonearm to do rewiring and RCA conversion told me that he checked before shipping and it was fine. It may cause some issues during transit. It may be easy fix but I have no technical knowledge or knowhow and could not bother fixing it but rather move to someone who knows how to diagnose the issue and fix it easily. It cost me over $700 and letting it go less than half to someone who are knows how to fix those two issues.
