Jack_
Hi, So basically I have a setup as per the diagram below, and need a device to switch between sources. Does something like this exist? I guess it's kind of like a receiver without the amp. Any help greatly appreciated.

Snoopy8
A HDMI switch like this can take the HDMI inputs and output HDMI and optical https://www.selby.com.au/av-distribution/av-switches-splitters/switches/hdmi/4x2-hdmi-v1-4-matrix-switcher-4pet0402a.html But cannot do optical input; also no optical input to hdmi converter! You will need to manually swap optical from unit above and streamer into DAC. Or add an optical switch ?
SteveC
Your TV might do it if it has optical out. It will work for the HDMI sources but not for optical in. Does your streamer do coaxial output? Otherwise you will need and optical switch as suggested
Jack_
Hmm TV is a dinosaur, no help there. I've got an optical switcher, but now with another HDMI source I need an HDMI Switcher on top of it - so just trying to suss out whether there is an all in one device that will do the job (and cut down on all remotes..) Wonder if this would work? https://www.radioparts.com.au/product/64510380/hdmi4s18g-4-way-18gbps-hdmi-switcher-audio-extraction-hdmi2.0-hdr#.XF-tDGnZX3A
