metal beat Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) Artificial Intelligence II - 3LP 1994 compilation - Warp records. Electronic/IDM comps don't get much better than this - the cut to vinyl is sensational sound quality. 30 years later, sounds so fresh and awesome Edited January 24 by metal beat 3

2Brix Posted February 9 Posted February 9 currently spinning K&D Sessions 25th Anniversary 6LP reissue boxset (2024). Mastered and cut by BG, made in Germany, beautiful lowkey presentation of artwork and sleeves and good SQ. I paid around around $260 at the time which i was happy with and i see one site has a couple of sets running out at $200 which is a screaming bargain 4 1
emesbee Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Jean-Michel Jarre - Oxymore (2022) I must admit that I am not one who listens much to electronic music, but I came across this CD in a JB Hi-Fi store today and bought it purely out of curiosity. Having just watched the movie The City Of Lost Children, and feeling a bit bemused by its strangeness (and its Frenchness) this didn't seem too out of place for a listen afterwards (after also downing a couple of ales), so I just gave it a spin. In my current mildly intoxicated state I quite enjoyed it, although I doubt that it will get too many spins in the future. It says the album is a tribute to Pierre Henry, who I must admit that I am not familiar with, although a quick search says that he was a French composer who was interested in the integration of noise into music. A track from the album - Brutalism official video. 4
hired goon Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Steve Roach - The Skeleton Collection -- analog synths and sequencers. Basically a stripped back and remixed version of the Skeleton Keys album, with some bonus tracks. Noice. "Name Yer Price" lossless download from Bandcamp for a limited time. --Geoff 2

metamatics Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Leng Records - Compilation by the best diggers around ! (Psychemagik) just perfect ,to buy these tracks individually sell your house , let alone try and find them .
cafe67 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) Monday arvo tunes 12 - piano based with a bit of electronics, quite sparse similar to say Max Richter or maybe Johan Johansson Da Vinci - interesting , sides 1 & 2 were quite orchestral/strings/soundtrack sounding, Side 3 has just kicked off with big drums and fast tunes, then back into ambient and now sounds like early sequencer based Tangerine Dream or early JMJ Edited February 24 by cafe67 3
hired goon Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Lorenzo Montana - Return To The Labyrinth -- Lorenzo Montana and Pete Namlook released 5 albums in the Labyrinth series on the Fax label back in the day, before Pete passed away. This is a collection of that continues that series, with various Fax label alumni (Higher Intelligence Agency, Dr Atmo, Spyra, Mick Chillage, etc) contributing in his stead, in tribute. Noice. "Name Yer Price" lossless download for a limited time from Bandcamp. --Geoff 1
