You and I know what that Quad sound is and this pair with the ribbon... I listened to a pair with a SNA member one year down in Bleak City with a front end consisting of Luxman SS amp/Rega8 TT/Dyna 75 mk3 phono and it was a lovely sound with a fair bit of synergy happening. Absolute steal at this price. The Handbrake is down there with you RT for the next 4 days, swanning around the restaurants and vineyards. If you run in to her could you put in a good word for me viz-a-viz these Quads? You'll recognise her by the field of energy emanating out like a force field that burns nearly everything in it's path if it's associated with our hobby. @Hytram Absolute stonking bargain. Ridiculous price and I don't really care whether you paid full RRP or got a great deal way less than that, these are a wonderful speaker and at your price these probably wouldn't last long in the For Sale thread. Original boxes mean they are a breeze to send interstate and you'd be looking at $100 or a bit better to go out of Bleak City. What is their packed weight btw?
rantan Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 (edited) @Luc I shall see if you good partner is on my astral radar and I shall do my best to formulate the idea , ( in her mind ) that the pursuit of audio re-production is a Yin/Yang concept. I will allude to the fact that a Yang reaction is not the optimal decision and that her own ( and your ) best interests would be served by her forbearance in you purchasing these Quads due to the inevitable (positive ) growth of your inner harmony and your eventual versimilitude in understanding the gestalt of your co-existence Edited February 20, 2019 by rantan 1
