Having chats to Ayon designer.  He suggests there is always room for improvement over the inbuilt USB input in my Ayon CD5s.  Worth a try.

Hi,

 

I might have a modified SU-1 coming up soon. It has the Ghent Audio DC modification which did improvement the sound IMHO. I'm laid up recovering from surgery at the moment so I can't do anything in the short term.

I have but I'm not sure it has an Aes output. I can't remember actually. . There were a few favourable reviews of it though. Were you happy with it? 

 

I'm also looking at an I2S output so I can try a few other Dacs later. Maybe I'll keep it in mind.
