Just a warmed over version of the 9300, still, pretty good PJ for the money!

Looking forward to see what the street price will be on the 9400, as if its only a minor upgrade over the 9300 (Still a major upgrade over my 9000) it might be worth looking at second hand JVCs in the new year.

I think it's still best value for money PJ under 4500-5000$ and can be had for much less than that too.

Oh,i dont know about that.

JVC 7900 for around the 5k mark is much better bang for the buck.

I think my old x35 is probably better for standard bluray watching then the epson

Yeah I'm talking about current projectors. The Epson can be had for 3600, the X7900 was 5430 so almost 2K more.

Just spoke to AIM Digital and they said they haven't heard from distributer about the 9400 being in stock yet. I have the 9300W and for the 4K 60Hz in the 9400W I would probably upgrade if I could sell the 9300W for $2800. I really like my epson.

Their is a Australian review on the New Epson 9400 projector from Sound and Image Magazine, worth reading if you are looking at buying one. (Mag Vol.32#3)

Yes serenity ; I actually like the fact there is I 18gbps hdmi and 1 1.4 input as there has been some incompatibility with older chipsets plugging into hdmi2.0 lately .. Stephen notes a few deinterlacing queries with 50i so pick the right film/video algorithm :)

HDobsession I bel you can buy them now, Check https://www.westcoasthifi.com.au/  or https://clefhifi.com.au/catalog/index.php , most likely other stores will have them soon as well, the two mentioned were the first two that came up in the search.

Having had both an X35 and a 9300, the 9300 is way better for standard Blu-ray content.

I'm not sure if it is worth upgrading to the 9400 or not? I mostly watch UHD BD content.
