ampdac
Good day, I've been using my sMS-200ultra LMS to playback flac albums without any problems since day 1. A couple of days back I added a wav album to my library and gotten LMS to rescan my library. To my surprise, the wav album does not show up in LMS "Album" nor "New Music" listings. However, if I were to convert the wav album to flac it shows up as expected. Any information on how to get LMS to play wav albums will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Regards. -------------- Lionel
Snoopy8
Can you see the files in LMS under their folders? Likely your wav files have no tags?
ampdac
Yes, I can see the wav album from within LMS Music Folder. The wav files are verified to be properly tagged. I have used dbpoweramp batch converter to convert the wav album to flac and the resulting flac files are also properly tagged. I have also tried reinstalling Squeezelite to no avail. I would expect LMS to play wav files without any issues, just like Daphile. VLC plays the same wav album without problems and it displayed the tags info correctly. Just weird and frustrating. ampdac
Problem resolved. Thanks to Snoopy8 comment on the absence of tags as a possible cause. With this in mind, I re-looked at my wav files' tags. They are all tagged in accordance with the "Tag 2:ID3v2.4.0" standard. In addition they also contain tags from "Tag 3: RIFF INFO". VLC has no problem handling these "Tag 3:" tags. LMS, on the other hand, seems not to like them. With these "Tag 3:" tags deleted, Squeezelite was able to display the albums accordingly and play the wav files properly. Cheers.
