Rhinog66 Posted November 16, 2018 Share Posted November 16, 2018 (edited) Item: Three Spectron Musician III Mk2 stereo/mono amps and cables Location: Brisbane Prices: 1) Spectron amp with V caps and Bybee purifiers (RRP US 4500): $3500 2) Spectron amp with V caps (RRP US 4000): $3250 3) Faulty Spectron amp with V caps and Bybee purifiers: $1000 (for spares - amp boards should be ok - no return, no guarantee whatsoever). 4) Stereo cables: Spectron Remote Sense SE Mk1 cables (2.5 m) neutric speakon at amp end and with brocchino bananas (RRP ~ US$ 2500): $1000 5) Mono cables: Elrod mono cables, neutric speakon to WBT spade. (RRP around US$ 2000): $1000 If anybody is interested to run the amps as mono blocks, I'd sell all three amps and the mono cables for $8000. PLUS POSTAGE. Have two original boxes, will pack the faulty one well. Definitely prefer local pickup Item Condition: good, considering age Reason for selling: Replaced three big boxes with an integrated amp Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Ran Infinity RS 4.5s at floor shaking volumes. The Infinities are amp killers as they dip below 1.5 Ω. Two highly respected amps blew all transistors. No sweat for the Spectrons, which are stable to 0.5 Ω. Running them as mono blocks improves the clarity by a substantial audible notch. Maximum peak power: 3 kW. I have remote sense cables with neutrik speakon connectors. One set is the Spectron Remote Sense Mk1 with Brocchino spades for stereo configuration and the other an ELROD remote sense for mono configuration. The third Musician 3 is faulty .
