Mixer and Splitter

Recommended Posts

I am seeking some advice on how to connect my PC, mic and amplifier for group Skype conference call.

I got a wireless mic set and needs to amplify locally and output to the PC Audio in.

At the same time, I need to amplify the PC Audio output as well.

Thinking of getting a splitter to split the mic set output to PC and local amplifier; and use a mixer to combine the mic output and PC Audio Output to the local amplifier.

Am I on the right track? Should I use two devices – one splitter, one mixer Or a splitter and mixer. What will be a good device to go for.

Many thanks.

How much pain do you want?

TheRe are some very good audio conferencing systems on the market that it is not worth trying to build your own.  Companies like Revolabs, Clearone, Biamp are all at different price points, and have solutions to suite different room sizes.

They all include one very important function - acoustic echo cancellation.  Without it you will not be able to get rid of the feedback, and the people at the other end of the conference will hate you.
