Keith_W Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 I'm not sure if this has had an airing on SNA but I just did a search and could not find anything. So here goes Museum of bad album covers Here are a few winners from that site: 1 1
Keith_W Posted April 24, 2007 Author Posted April 24, 2007 Oh, and for those of you who think I spend WAAAAYYY too much time surfing the internet ... you're right Here's another one - The Decline and fall of Marantz (lots of bad 70's style ads).
Administrator StereoNET Posted April 25, 2007 Administrator Posted April 25, 2007 Keith ... great thread. If you have any of those in your collection you are banned just for being tacky Here's my contribution.... it's one dad had that as a kid used to scare the hell out of me!

You should submit it to the museum! Explains a lot about you BTW, does this mean that we should ban your dad for being tacky if he joins this forum?
Administrator StereoNET Posted April 26, 2007 Administrator Posted April 26, 2007 That one wasn't tacky ... just scary!
Grumpy Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 What a laugh! Unfortunately an embarrassment as well, for I have some covers like that too. I'll dig some out and take some pics.
hired goon Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 G'day, I'm not sure if this has had an airing on SNA but I just did a search and could not find anything.[/b] Pffft. Try looking in this thread. --Geoff
Tony M Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 G'day,Pffft. Try looking in this thread. --Geoff[/b] Hmmm......I think I was hoping no-one would remember that fiasco  I don't think Terry will comment
Tony C Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Love ya work Keith W. I nearly fell of my chair with some of those album covers. That's the beauty of LP vinyl. Wouldn't get that album impact on a CD cover. On the flip side does anyone remember the open out covers on some of the Yes albums back in the 70's? Yessongs opened out to about five pages. That did deserve to be hung on a wall.
Keith_W Posted April 26, 2007 Author Posted April 26, 2007 Pffft. Try looking in this thread.[/b] Whoops. Sorry everyone! Obviously I didn't enter the right terms into the search
Grumpy Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Hmmm......I think I was hoping no-one would remember that fiasco  I don't think Terry will comment  [/b] Ah yes The music of the 'HILLs People" . Adelaide hills people

I remember one of my best buddies at High School was a fan, and despite trying many times, it's just not my cup of tea. Amazing what comes up when you google "bad album covers" though

Seriously try the album "Triumph of Steel" it sounds brilliant and a history lesson as well. The song "Power of thy Sword" should be a staple at every audio show, 2 swords rubbing together at the start and then BOOM into it.
Guest Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I'm game. I'll give it a shot on Tidal this evening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
hired goon Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 This one gets a regular airing in the worst album covers: I don't have that, but I did find this LP the other week, which is also pretty bad: --Geoff
Saxon Hall Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 This is a classic album but the artwork leaves a bit to be desired. 1
powerav Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Should be some rules set. No googling "bad album covers" I think you should have them in your collection. 1
