Volunteer sir sanders zingmore Posted April 22, 2018 Author Volunteer Posted April 22, 2018 Amazing what she’s seen in her life. But I’m not sure I’d like to live that long
Cafad Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Well the odds are good that you won't so don't go worrying too much about it. 1
Darren69 Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 (edited) I worked with an old guy in construction, he was very fast with a comeback, very witty to the end. One day I said- You know, I don't reckon I would want to live much past 85 He replied- You wont be f$%^ing thinking like that when you're 84. Edited April 22, 2018 by Darren69 1 1
Saxon Hall Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 With the advances in medical science, I reckon people will shortly be saying, " I don't think I would want to live to 169"

zenikoy Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Must be a terrible feeling. Becoming world's oldest women and realising you're next.

On a recent trip to England, we met my father's cousin who is 93. She was quite mentally alert and apart from her failing hearing, it was easy to have an interesting conversation with her. She told us all about the things she did when she was young, and about how she used to tag along with my father and his various girlfriends when they went out. She also said how sad she was when we left England to come to Australia in 1957, because she missed out on us growing up. She said I turned out all right though, even though I wasn't as tall or good looking as my father.. hahaha. You must lose your filter a bit when you get older... 1

BugPowderDust Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 At my wife’s grandfather’s funeral, one of her cousins regaled a conversation he had with his grandfather, then aged 95. grandson: "you have lived a long life, what advice do you have for me?" grandfather: "be dead by 80" 1
