Gross DAC demo/loan unit registration

I worked out why. When I put it on Direct, the subs don’t do anything. Can anyone suggest why?

........

Okay I’ve come to a realisation that with subs is too much bass for modern songs (Radiohead, depeche mode) and better for old songs (70s Bowie).

Hmm. Meant to post this last night sorry but it’s still here...

Alright... after realising without subs being integrated properly the sound is better, for most songs, in Direct.

I then did some a/b with Bluesound Node 2 in Direct mode.

Both good but with the Gross I think the vocals sound better and I do feel drawn into the song more. Songs a/b’d were Melody Gardot, Our love is easy, Johny Cash, Hurt (I know...), Joan As a Police Woman, Real Life. This says a lot coming from  me because normally I can’t tell the difference between a lot of things I’ve tried hifi-wise.

Hi Guys,

I'm sorry but the demo Gross will no longer be doing the rounds.

I had a few issues shipping it around & ended up selling it to one of the  Melbourne participants.

Sorry but It was quite a lot of mucking around with shipping tracking etc

The alternative  I came up with would to purchase one with the option to return it for a full refund after seven days if you were not happy with it.

You would just be up for the return freight if it was sent back.

Note! All  Driver Licence images have been deleted.

Kind Regards

That is more than fair - a week to make up your mind is a great option.
