aasza Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 One for the valve fans... Line Magnetic LM-845 Premium Dual Chassis Integrated LM-845 Premium Integrated Amplifier is comprised of two units. One is the amplifier unit and the other is Outputs unit. In the amplifier unit the main amplifier and power supply parts are included while in the outputs unit output transformer and speaker outputs parts are included. Amplifier unit and outputs unit are connected with two separate well built connectors and cables for which you can put up and down or left and right. Thirty watts per channel, Single Ended design, Pure Class A Integrated Stereo Amplifier with 845 output power tubes. All tube Integrated with 12AX7 input tubes, 310A signal amplification stage, 300B driver tubes and 845 output tubes. Well selected and matched tubes. Tubes we chose are Shuguang 12AX7, Line Magnetic 310A, Shuguang 300B and Shuguang 845. No matter it is the Pre-stage or power stage of tubes we select and choose the best matching ones to use on the same unit of amplifier to get the best sound quality out of it. Three pairs of Line inputs, One pair of Balance Input and One Pre-In are located on the back panel of the amplifier unit. Left and Right inputs take a way of balance design. All are separately arranged to lower the cross-talk between Left and Right. Different from other inputs Pre-In offers you a possibility to connect to some other Preamplifier so that you can the LM-845 Premium as a power amplifier. Speaker terminals for 4, 8, 16 ohm speakers are located on the back panel of the Outputs unit. Same as inputs speaker outputs are arranged in a way of balance and separate design too. Two user bias controls for 300B and 845 have been used for bias adjustment and two meters has been added to the front plate to allow you to monitor bias with ease. One Power Meter with two pointers is located in the middle of front plate to allow you to monitor the power output of each channel. Negative Feedback switch is on the front plate that you can choose between two levels of NFB to enjoy the different sound outputs of the LM-845IA Premium tube amplifier. Under the state of MAX it has a better dynamic while as for MIN the sound output has a more density. On the rear panel of the Transformer Unit there is a Phase Switch you can choose between Phase In and Out. LM-845 Premium it includes eight transformers. Two pieces of power transformers, two output transformers, two coupling driver transformers, two chokes. In order to have a stable and better power supply we have designed two pieces of specially designed Toroidal power transformers in Balance. EI type of output transformers are installed in the outputs unit separately to lower interfere from the external radio frequency. Japanese Audio grade ALPS volume potentiometer has been applied. RCA terminals are specially designed by Line Magnetic for the amplifier. It can reduce the signal loss during transition and guarantee the sound quality. Standard with remote volume control. Hand made construction with the finest point-to-point wiring. SoftStart and time-delay circuit. (30 seconds). Solid Aluminum design of the front with Piano lacquer painting of chassis. An elegant combination of black. Nice looking amplifier you do not want to miss. Power output: 30W Class A Single Ended Frequency response: 15Hz~35kHz (-1.5dB) THD: 1% (1kHz) S/N Ratio: 80dB Input Sensitivity: 250mV 1000mV (Pre-IN) Input Impedance: 100kΩ Output Impedance: 4Ω, 8Ω, 16Ω Dimension 430 x 456 x 460 mm Tube Complement: 12AX7x2,310Ax2,300Bx2,845x2 Net Weight: 62kg 4
tubularbells Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 This has me scratching my head as the LM219 already had a oversized power supply and output trannies in relation to its power output so was this more a case of "cos' they could" rather than any real performance gains?

It's obvious Doug, now you can move the bloody thing ! 1
tubularbells Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 ....yeah my back still hurts thinking about lifting that onto my rack last year.
Volunteer sir sanders zingmore Posted September 8, 2017 Volunteer Posted September 8, 2017 You did it on your own ?!?!

Demondes Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Yeah getting it out of the box with one person is fun but not recommended. The transformer Weight at the back wants to flip it if u are silly enough to grab the sides midway. Would love to know how this stacks up against the LM219.
Guest deanB Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Bravo, Line Magnetic! Obviously realised that the weak and effete were being precluded from 219 ownership and cared enough to do something about it.

Guest deanB Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Thanks for confirming what we always suspected. I'm still in my apprenticeship phase with the sub-50kg Doge 9 Pab. Mind you, there is two of the buggers.
ochremoon Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 I had the same issue with my 45kg turntable. I gave up trying to lift it from the box and just cut the box away.
Frank Prowse Hi-Fi Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 We have this and other models within the Line Magnetic range coming to the store very soon! 1
