Is It Possible To Make A Pioneer Bd-51fd Region Free?

My post is on behalf of a close friend who has a pioneer bd-51fd bluray player. He purchased some bd discs from overseas and realized that they won't play. Is it possible to make this player region free/multi region with some sort of code you can input through your remote or other ways of doing this. Anyones help would be greatly appreciated

you can have a mod installed by someone like GattiWeb for $240.

The only cost effective way to watch Bluray discs from regions other than your player is locked to, is to purchase a cheap player that can be region-changed via remote control codes.

Have a look at the Soniq, Allure and other cheapies threads to see which ones can be region modified by codes: they are often only $100 or so.
