Guest Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) Hi guys just thought I might start a thread where we can put our settings for our PJ's, obviously some will have professional calibration but others that don't can certainly add in here at there leisure and if there is enough interest as I have editing capability I can list in alphabetical order...... one thought if people do join in, can you please list your screen type as it can have an effect on settings for others...... Guest Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Here are the setting I have on mine matePicture Mode Basic Pic mode = standard Brightness + 48 Contrast + 45 Colour + 60 Tint = 0 Sharpness = 0 and Lamp set to Eco with Dynamic black set to off hope this helps.......... Have you tried Cinema 1 setting? Mine looks excellent, more grainy than the JVC though, but DLP is known to be like that. Very sharp, but I turned the sharpness down a bit and left that dynamic colour setting off. It's a step up from the W5000 which was a popular machine last year, with better contrast and colour. just to get the ball rolling......

Anyway, as part of the forum spirit... BenQW5000 Picture Mode = User 1 [calibrated to 6500K, REC709 projecting through the MK4] Brightness + 56 [this is set using JPK DVE HD. It would be lower if just using the test patterns on HCFR, however seems to crush the blacks at that level] Contrast + 43 [seems low, yet any higher crushes the whites] Colour + 39 Tint = 20 Sharpness = +3 Lamp set to Eco with Dynamic black and brilliant colour set to off. IRIS = +3 at 900 hours. Screen is OzTS Acoustic Vision [gain 1.16] Room has total light control.
