If anyone's after a LX70 (black), Myer Adelaide City have a display model they're clearing, for $995.

It looks to have the remote but does have a scratch on the front - top right corner about 6cm long from memory - so $900 or less should be possible with the standard warranty etc.

Would have jumped at it myself, had I not just bought a 919AH

Yep went in a lunch time $995 ok can you hold it for me for a couple of hours.

Go back later this arvo, different sales person, ok I'll take it, sorry sir its actually $4,500 as we have to sell these premium Pioneer speakers with with it as a package.

Bloody idiots.

I spoke to John Constantine (tall, young chap) - he already got the go-ahead to sell it, without the speakers, for $995 - took 10-15 minutes - even made him write it down on a Myer business card.

Not to worry, Like most of these things it is more want than need and if I have learnt anything you can pretty much guarentee that with patience there be another equally good deal at some time in the future.
