Illuzive Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Just wondering if there is any way of getting the OLD tv mobile guide? the non-iphone version I finally upgraded to IQ2 the other day and would love the opportunity to remote record from my N95 when on the go, I know they used to have a java based application that allowed remote recording but since the iPhone app came in, I can't seem to find any info or way to download the program. i'm wondering even if I could, is the support to use it still there? The old way used to be by SMS'ing 19 955 955 and they would send you a link, now this SMS comes back with the reply "Thank for your entry" so I can only imagine the numbers been sold to another company using it as a competition. Anyway any help would be appreciated! thanks in advance...
Illuzive Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) Hmm just got a reply from FOXTEL customer service on this - seems it's a lost cause for those of us who aren't iPhone toting yuppies... Response below; Dear Tim, Thank you for your recent email to FOXTEL customer service. With the introduction of the Apple iPhone FOXTEL Mobile TV Guide Application (available through the Apple Application Store), we felt the previous applications were inferior and we are invested in improving the service. FOXTEL’s focus in the future will be to provide the software for mobile handsets that are serviced by an application store similar to Apple’s. At this stage there is only a FOXTEL Guide application available for the Apple iPhone. Once more thank you for your email and I trust this information will be of assistance. For all your FAQs, billing information, troubleshooting, tips and more visit www.foxtel.com.au/support/default.htm Yours sincerely Emily FOXTEL Customer Service Edited May 3, 2010 by Illuzive
Was_There_Then Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Surprised they haven't rolled one out through the Ovi store for Nokia owners...
nico6 Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 (edited) The Foxtel guide and IQ remote programming is still available for Telstra Next G subscribers to Mobile Foxtel on any mobile. It just worked on my BlackBerry using the handset's browser, i.e. no app required. Edited May 4, 2010 by nico6

loony Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 unfortunately I'm not with Telstra nor do I have an iPhone so i'm buggered, but thanks for the help anyways! Try sending an SMS with the word 'Guide' to 19 955 955 (SMS cost is 55c) That is how you used to be able to download it so if foxtel hasnt killed the 19 service it should still work
