Hi guys,

I've never posted in this part of the forum before, so I apologise if I've done something wrong.

I've recently upgraded my computer to Windows 7, and until the last couple of days my Gadget Geek USB HDTV Tuner had been working fine with the media center. But now when I start up "Live TV" it tells me: 'Viewing or Listening Conflict - No tuner available to satisfy the current request.'

I don't have anything else running when this happens, and I have tested it with the BlazeDTV software that came with the tuner and it all still works fine.

I have tried uninstalling the driver, but when I plug in the tuner, it is not listed in my devices; I went to the Gadget Geek website, but the drivers there either won't work for me or will not install on Windows 7; The Blaze website's driver won't work as it tells me I need to install BlazeDTV (I assume it means the new version).

I can't think what else to do as I'm not all that tech-savvy. I really want the tuner to work with the media center again as it provides exactly what I want in recording and EPG.

Hope you can help, and thanks.

I've had similar issues come up with various usb tuners on win7 (although I'm sure it's not just win7 thats the issue). In some cases I was able to get around this by bringing up the EPG first and then clicking on the show I wanted to view which would then display all ok despite the error received when trying to go straight into live tv.

Perhaps try uninstalling again and then plugging the tuner into a different usb port. Allow win7 to detect and install the device and see what happens.

Thanks. I've tried them both - but unfortunately neither seemed to work for me. I figured out that Windows is recognising the Tuner as a type of keyboard and is installing 4 different drivers for it. I have no idea why, but no amount of uninstalls and reboots seem to help - I might just have to bite the bullet and upgrade. Thanks again.

I'm having the same problem with my Compro Videomate card in my desktop computer

I've tried putting the card in a different slot but that's not fixed it

I'm using Vista and it's happened since an update in Vista

I don't think it's the tuner at fault as my analogue Pinnacle tuner card isn't seen either

I'll have a search on the Whirlpool and Overclocker computer forums to see if anyone has a fix for the problem

OK

While my answer is probably a bit late, I too had the same problem. A Gadget Geek USB HDTV tuner worked like a dream on Vista (on my new laptop) but when I upgraded to 7 - no go.

The answer was to use Windows Media Center. It supports it directly and allows you to record any of the channels you can view. It will also allow you to record an entire series, but watch out when you do this as it will record it from any channel. eg record a series on ABC1 and it will also record it from ABC2.

Apart from that it works beautifully.

I'll throw in my 2c.I've bought a Windows 7 machine and wanted to use the Gadget Geek USB HDTV on it. I used the standard installation disk to install Blaze TV 2.5 but couldn't find a driver for the AF9015 USB stick. I just put it in the slot and let Windows find a driver for it. It identified it initially as "DTB03" then as "WinFast DTV Dongle Gold BDA Filter" and loaded that driver. Works fine with that driver.
