Well - They are apologizing for everything else, so I figure they should applogise to me for all those years of having to put up with Telstra Abuse!

What other things should Kevvy offer a national appology for?

Always been suspicious of those compulsive sorry sayers - I think it's all a bit wimpy - if not contrived

Saying sorry from a later perspective given changes in perception and culture are really a waste of time - how can you be sorry if you are not able to speak from the same cultural mores?

In regards to the indigenous "stolen children" apology. I feel it was a necessary first step.. but there is a helluva a long way to go before true reconciliation can be achieved.

I think its important to convey clearly the "regret" for previous government assimilation policies, acknowledge past wrong doings and consequences of those wrong doings. And those consequences continue to exist to this day..

Indigenous children torn from loving families and placed into abusive homes and institutions.

The Board of Inquiry into the Protection of Aboriginal Children from Sexual Abuse identified this disgraceful policy as a contributing factor.

If there is no regret and there is no acknowledgement of the "wrong-doings," how can one expect progress?

These ceremonies are just as important as say Remembrance Day for families that acknowledge the sacrifices of ancestors during World War I. Do you regard Remembrance Day as wimpy? contrived?

you make out that the practices, prejudices occurred in another epoch

Police in Western Australia have dropped charges against a 12-year-old boy accused of receiving a stolen chocolate frog.

The boy yesterday pleaded not guilty to the charge in Northam Children's Court.

Police allege he received the 70-cent chocolate from a friend who had stolen it from a supermarket.

The Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS) described the case as trivial and said it showed police were targeting Aboriginal youths.
