noisuf Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Hi, I recently purchased a 32" Samsung LA32A550. Just turned it on and noticed on mute or 0 volume, the TV was buzzing from the rear. Did a bit of a search and found out that if you have the backlight setting on anything apart from 10, it buzzes. Sure enough, I had my setting on 5 and when set to 10, it disappeared. Even 9 still buzzed. Has anyone else experienced the same issue? In that forum that gave me the answer, he had to go through 2 TV replacements before he got one that didn't buzz on all backlight settings. I don't want to keep mine on 10 and I would assume Samsung won't call this a 'feature'.
kulfi Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I think you're within your rights to ask for a replacement. I have a weird problem with an Acer 32" LCD TV in the bedroom - there's a constant buzz if the volume is set to zero but not when it's muted, so for me, it comes from the speakers when there's no audio source connected to it (like a PC). The forums don't have an answer to this but at least you know what to do, so go ahead and swap it.
