Help With Hk255 And Speaker Advice

Hey everyone,

I am about to pickup a HK 255 receiver (already paid for, so don't try to talk me out of this one) and have a question about speakers.

I am pretty low budget and am interested in the Jamo S606 HT package. I just wanted to know any opinions of alternate similar price range speakers, and also will the HK 255 run the Jamo's well enough, as the mains are 89db and the surrounds are 87db.

Very new to this, as it will be my first HT ever.

Ben, it will be better if you can post the price of Jamo S606 so people in the forum can get an idea of your appr. budget for the speakers.

Of course, my mistake.

Can pick up the Jamo S606 package (minus sub, as I already have one) for about $1400 to $1600.

IMO, they are the best bang for bucks.

FYI, I was able to get them for under $1300 including sub.
