Arry74 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Hi The other day I got myself a Harmony 885 remote which is basically a 880 or 890 from what I can tell. Everything works great with the remote as it configured everything from its database. Just one problem. When in the main menu of the Denon, on the TV screen, the up and down arrows do not work. You can go left and right but not up and down. Very frustrating. The up and down arrows work for changing channel, volume etc but not in the menu. Have tried the learning function etc but nothing seems to work. Anyone else have this issue as I hear it also happens with the Harmony One remotes as well. Arry
MACCA350 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 No problem here, are you using the big round direction button or the volume buttons? cheers

diesel Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Have you tried the denon in device mode to make sure you have mapped the correct commands?

Arry74 Posted November 22, 2008 Author Posted November 22, 2008 Yeah, all of the commands work and even the up and down work with the Denon but just not in the on screen menu when controlling it on the TV screen
hakka69 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Yeah, all of the commands work and even the up and down work with the Denon but just not in the on screen menu when controlling it on the TV screen I use an 880 with a 3808, the up down buttons don't do anything outside of the setup menu, what do you mean when you say they work??? Hakka.
Arry74 Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 I cannot believe it ! I read in the Logitech forums that others were having this issue going back approx 12months ago. I wrote to Logitech first 3 or 4 days ago and after a 3 emails (each one was looked into and answered promptly) they have now resolved the issue. It was a bug. Needless to say I am extremely impressed with the level of service I have received from Logitech support and am very happy I decided to buy a Logitech product. Well done Logitech !
loco667 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I have exactly the same problem. Can you say what did they ask ou to do to fix the issue?
com59841503560232 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I have exactly the same problem. Can you say what did they ask ou to do to fix the issue? I had the same problem, for the 785 you go into the device tab then choose settings and then customise buttons. It had mine set to tune up and down I think.
loco667 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Thanks! Default button mapping was incorrect.
