mddawson Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Did anyone else receive a letter asking you to check the High Band Freq of the LNB? Mine showed up as the wrong one and was replaced today by a Foxtel tech. He then fiddled with the Foxtel remote and told my wife (I was at work) that I now have an extra channel - 111. This is puzzling as I always had channel 111 since it began.
loony Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Did anyone else receive a letter asking you to check the High Band Freq of the LNB? I would guess and say it night have something to do with the new satellite being launched next year

A 11300 LNB can only handle 500Mhz of bandwitdh, ie 12250 to 12750Ghz The new D3 satellite will have double the bandwidth, 1Ghz, so a 10700 LNB will cover 11700 to 12750 Ghz It all has to do with the IF (intermediate frequency) of the set top boxes.
