Did anyone else receive a letter asking you to check the High Band Freq of the LNB? Mine showed up as the wrong one and was replaced today by a Foxtel tech. He then fiddled with the Foxtel remote and told my wife (I was at work) that I now have an extra channel - 111. This is puzzling as I always had channel 111 since it began.

My brother recieved the same letter, the instructions on it didnt work for his model of box so he rang fox, they got him to check a few things out and then said he needed an LNB upgrade not sure why tho.

ps,he's only got the standard box.

A 11300 LNB can only handle 500Mhz of bandwitdh, ie 12250 to 12750Ghz

The new D3 satellite will have double the bandwidth, 1Ghz, so a 10700 LNB will cover 11700 to 12750 Ghz

It all has to do with the IF (intermediate frequency) of the set top boxes.
