TonkleChicken Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 It's a long shot, but just having "procured" a Sony BDP-S550 Blu-Ray Player, I was somewhat disapointed to discover that most Blu-Rays are encoded at 24p, and that the resultant 24p to 60p conversion (If you don't have a 24p monitor) creates a fair bit of Judder. Given that my Sony KDL-46X2000 supports 1080p25, 1080p30, 1080p50 and 1080p60, I was "wishing/hoping/praying" that a a simple firmware upgrade should allow the unit to support 1080p24 (via HDMI). Anyone out there know of such an "opportunity" to improve my viewing enjoyment via a firmware upgade, that does not involve putting my otherwise brilliant LCD up on e-Bay ????
