has anyone seen this monster yet

retail price on this is us$16,900.

maybe we could get a group buy on this.. and by that i mean we all chip in and buy 1 machine and we get to use it one week a year each. Im sure they will sell a few of these but even then how much better is it going to be...time will tell

Yes I think this is the third time this has been linked to now - but anyway, one hell of an expensive player, hope it comes with a female model who makes the popcorn and pours my wine for me while I'm watching a movie.

I see that this is a particularly fancy Panasonic DMP-BD30. Still, I'm sure it's much better, seeing as how it has the 'AC-Curator” power supply circuit'.

Well that alone would justify the price although there are much cheaper high end fancy last generation Panasonic players from the likes of Denon and Marantz available.
