Mj Acoustics Reference 150

Hi again. I posted a similar topic over at stereonet a while ago, but thought i would ask here also. I got some good info over there, but more opinions cant hurt!

Basically im looking at getting either the MJ reference 150 or the REL T1 (thats the short list for now, but not my final one). They retail for around the same but i can get the MJ for roughly $200 cheaper. I think i also like the idea of a sealed downfiring, verse the passive radiator of the REL, but then again i dont have any experience with the REL (or any other subs with passive radiators).

It will be only for HT in a 5x5m room, but have already decided on a down firing as they tend to suit my room better.

Any input appreciated. Info such as whether the MJ will provide enough 'slam' for HT etc would be really appreciated.

as far as I know both subs similarly priced at $1999. if spendign that sort of money I'd spend a bit more and grab a rel b2 normally $4299 and being cleared at $2.5k

Cheers Al. Unfortunately im in Sydney. When you include the shipping, and the discount i can get on the other models im considering, the difference will definitely be over $1k which i just cant justify at the moment. No doubt that would be a mighty fine sub though, is it quite large?
