Popped into JB in Nunawading and Knox today and couldn't help but notice how may more BD discs have appeared within the last 2 weeks. Not sure what it is, but they have at least trebled within the last couple of months.

There were a few titles in the early 30's and quite a few in the mid thirties. Whilst not rows upon rows, certainly much better than not so long ago.

Having worked previously for JB in Melbourne & at the old Nuna store as a dvd manager, i know the DVD managers there & they are movie fans & get to order back catalogue titles themselves, so if your local JB has an average range speak to the DVD manager & get them to stock some more titles. Not all the managers are big movie fans.

Also cejay if you get the chance head down to Eastland, the manager there is a HUGE movie fan & a great bloke & they will surely have a great range available :)

I might well do that. Thanks for the heads up.

I was in JB Eastland yesterday and I noticed that not only had the BD section moved, but it was much bigger.... good sign! Now, if only the prices would drop....

Yeh the Eastland section has been moved towards the counters, and has grown steadily.

Haven't been into the Doncaster store lately, but it was quite big a couple months back before the latest batch of releases. Might have to pop in there soon and see if it's grown any further.

Yeah the JB in Franga has a beautiful, alpabetically catalogued, rack with 250+ BR's.

Only trouble is that they are ALL $39.99. No bargain bin there.

Frankston is ok, the new Camberwell store at "The Well" shopping complex is very good. We should have some kind of retailer thread for stocks of blu-rays at which store haha.

What are the instore prices like compared to online? I've looked instore before and nothing really grabbed me. I had a look earlier online and they have some pretty nice preorder prices.

I'm looking at some of their online prices for preorders, and they have some pretty nice prices:

- Hellboy 2 (2 disk) 36.98

- Wanted 36.98

- The Strangers 36.98

- X Files I Want To Believe 36.98

- The Happening 36.98

- Firefly 66.98

That is cheaper than any other online store I've seen.
