So the commentators trumpeted this as the first local HD 5.1 cricket production, but I'm not getting any 5.1. Is it just me? or an NBN issue?

but as steveb said it came good with the 5.1 later on Strange to notice I got a few dd 5.1 adds at one stage before the flag switched ok

There was a problem with the metadata outgoing. The flags were being flipped. Stereo on the Cricket and 5.1 on the comms instead of the other way around.

Yeah, I could barely hear the commentary on HD whilst it was fine on SD.... I thought it was a Nine OB problem...

(having said that, knowing Nine's cricket commentary team, that's not necessarily a bad thing!).

all I can say is thanks - the picture was outstanding, just give us more HD material now, including Nine's breakaway channel when it operates, and I'll be even happier

I also noticed that The Strip on Thursday night wasn't in HD or 5.1.

Is that due to it not being shown on 9HD?
