Therefore their is no warranty support !! buyer beware !! BUT i so like HK gear, have had theirs for the past twelve years and now on 3rd generation of gear. I will update as i go, but i am not a audiofile just a orderinary user, so this wil be interesting. By the way im in WA.

I am a very pleased owner of a HK AVR5000. It has been very good to me for the last 9 years. now the blu ray era has arrived and requires an upgrade to a new version. I live in wa and we do not seem to have lot of audio video equipment availbale in wa to test. I have few questions for you if you can please answer them: *how much did they quote you for the avr 655 at digital centre and when will you be getting it? *i had chat to the convoy HK brand manager and he did not mention anything about not importing this item. where did youget this information from? *I prefer to go with the avr 655 rather than avr 355 since it has better processors (TI) which will provide better dynamics and visuals for all channels. what do you think? thanks again for your information, nalin_bihan
shoota Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I hopefully will be picking up my 355 today. I am only using it as a processor and will be linking it to my avr7000 which the DSP board has died.
shoota Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Had the HK for a day and had problems with it from the start. It had everything i wanted but im not prepared to keep changing it for one that works when they take a week to get here. So i took it back paid a little more and got a Integra 5.9 . Im not totally impressed wiith this one either but as long as its easy to use and reliable. Its pre amping for a hk avr7000 anyway. So after 6 months with out surround im happy again.
