We have succeeded in fixing "the audio out of sync" problem with the patch sent by aldi that is the same one that appears in a website quoted in a previous posting by GOLDENBOY, see below.

There is a crucial bit of information MISSING without which you cannot load the patch successfully into your TV 5015 HD STB.

BEFORE SWITCHING THE POWER ON THE BOX ONCE IT IS CONNECTED TO THE SERIAL PORT OF THE PC YOU MUST PRESS AND HOLD SIMULTANEOUSLY THE UP AND DOWN KEYS IN THE CONTROL PANEL OF THE BOX TO PREVENT IT FROM AUTO BOOTING ON POWER UP AND THEN POWER UP THE BOX TO INITIATE UPGRADE.

Once this is done and you switch the power on, the firmware gets updated with no hitches and the audio works beautifully. Absolutely perfect. The upgrade cannot be successfully performed with out this as it says clearly in the Celestial Serial Port Update Tool ( program used to load the UBD file) LHS window. It says pres any key to prevent auto boot .

The patch would have worked from from the beginning if they've only told you how to do it properly. Instructions deficient.

Hi JB,

Its strange that you had to do that, I just hooked mine up with the crossover cable, powered it on and the upgrade worked without any buttons being pressed. I might try it again and see what happens

I am having all sorts of issues with the Update Tool. In the left hand side window of the tool i get garbage that looks like this:

In the right hand side window I constantly get the message "unable to translate upd file". Called the support number and they said I must have a faulty com port. I can't have a faulty com port on four PC's was my response!!

They took my details and then squat !! haven't heard a word for a week now.

Anyone got any ideas?? Tried all sorts of combinations of button presses on the front of the set top box... tried null modem cables left right and centre, crossover cables roll over cables..every cable you can think of !

Any advice would be great
