Hi

I've had the IQ2 for about 3 weeks and so far flawless.

This morning I've woken to no On Demand content coming through, as it usually does on a Thursday, and all my shows in my planner now have 2 records per planned recording, except for FTA planned recordings, and Foxtel planned recordings that I have not set a series link (ie movies, stand-alone shows).

That is, all series-linked shows that are not on FTA are showing up as doubles.

I've pre-recorded "Solitary" for 12pm today, and looking at the planner, one of the doubles is showing as Recording, and the other is just sitting there doing nothing. You can't even Select the one that is doing nothing, and you can enter and view the one that is showing as Recording.

Anyone else having this problem today, or had it before, and know what to do?

Thanks,

Marco

Hi Marco

When i went home from lunch to watch the racing , i two had 2 programs to record and only 1 was recording

I have also recorded 2 shows early in the morning and it FAILED

All my favorites channels were gone except 7,9,10

so i had to set it again

They might of done a maintenance?

I rang Foxtel and before I even got a chance to speak to someone, a recorded message said that something had happened to the IQ boxes overnight and to simply delete the series links and future recordings, and re-program everything.

Then before I knew it the recording told me that they were force rebooting my IQ2 as I listened and that everything should be fine once done, and then they hung up on me like my problem had been addressed! Charming.

All my favourites are gone too.

It took me ages to reset my future recordings (I have a lot!) and now I will have to re-do my favourites which won't take long.

Now hopefully my on demand content will start dripping through.

Still no On Demand content trickling through.

I rang Foxtel and got Max who didn't even seem to know what On Demand was. I had to explain it to him.

He sent through a software update which apparently will fix everything but that was a few hours ago and still no new content.

We'll see what happens overnight, but I can foresee another call to Foxtel in the morning, and pot luck on getting an operator who knows what they are doing.

You may have to get Foxtel to talk you through reformatting the IQ hard-drive. When I got the IQ2 box recently no on demand content was coming through even after downloading the lastest software and waiting 48 hours. After the third attempt using the software download method a Foxtel tech decided to talk me through formatting the hard-driver. That did the trick as on demand content started coming through within 4 hours. The downside was the reformat wiped out all my recordings and entries in the planner. I haven't had a problem since.

Thanks for that but some content seems to be dripping through now. It just takes some time getting HD content down the line... maybe the software update fixed the problem.

I had a similar problem, in that no new content came in until late last night. However, this morning, on both my IQ2 boxes, all the On Demand content have been wiped for some reason. I rang Foxtel and there wasn't a known issue. The boxes have been now reset (they send this automatic reset the first time you call) so I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

Is anyone having problems with there IQ's since that crash on wednesday. Recordings on mine seem to have pixels in it atleast once during it, the picture freezes for like 2 seconds and comes back. This has just happend since that crash.

Yep, the pixelisation and losing seconds of footage thing is also happening to me. I've also had 2 failed recordings where there were definitely no programming clashes.

I've rebooted and monitoring it before complaining. However I was watching recordings from Saturday week ago, and they were affected, so not sure if it was the Wednesday thing which happened after I recorded them...

God knows what it is, but it is really annoying!
