I'm buying a Sony 1080p projector -- the VPLHW10.

I'm connecting my Pioneer DV600AV player to this via HDMI as my main video feed. Audio though will continue to be fed as straight stereo via RCA jacks to my hi-fi stereo as I don't have a multi-channel receiver, and won't be able to afford one for quite some time.

I also have a Panasonic DMR-EX75 DVD recorder with built-in standard digital set-top box and I'd like to be able to connect that as well for occasional projector viewing of TV-sourced programs (my wife's crazy about the Tour de France and wants to see that on the large screen) but most of our viewing from that player will continue to be via our Loewe 68cm CRT which is connected via an S-video cable.

My question is whether , for that Panasonic unit, I can run both the hdmi cable and S-video at the same time so we can switch freely between the standard TV and the projector? Or should I instead get an s-video switching unit and connect both the TV and projector via S-video? My distance for cabling is 10 to 15 metres depending on whether I go under the house or around the walls.... your help will be appreciated

Just run 2 cables one HDMI and Component (better) or HDMI & Video S.
