GazingSouth Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Hi, I have a Panasonic Dmr-xw300–dvd Recorder and am struggling a little with the EPG data. I cannot for the life of me get any more data for the ABC in sydney then today's data - I want to record something on tuesday however there's no data there. I've tried leaving the recorder on channel 2, 21 etc for a while to see if theat helps, but nup all I get is todays guide data. Can anyone in Sydney with one of these tell me how many days of EPG they get for ABC1 ? Cheers GS
GazingSouth Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 yeah I can - but it's losing favour with teh wife - she's the one setting all the recordings and the outlay of $$ was leveraged on ease of use - not setting manual timers for ABC. Cheers GS

Hando Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Yeah I'm afraid that the ABC and SBS are very sporadic with their EPG, I think it's the channel's fault and not the device - my SD Topfield has the same issue. Strangely enough, ABC2 has a great EPG. The commercial channels are great, they give me 7 days reliably. Don't forget to pad your recordings - 2 mins before and 15 mins after, I never miss any footage using that method.
aussiefan Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I had trouble with channel 9 most times I think it's the channel's fault I think your right because I had trouble with my TV too, not just my Pana dmr xw-300
