Mutley251 Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 http://www.sharp.net.au/product-catalogue/products/LC37D63X/ Any thoughts on this? I am limited to a 37 for a particular cabinet this needs to go in. Was going to settle for a 32, but this fits in (just). $1600 at Big W. This is a 2nd TV for a less used room, so not looking for anything too flash. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

They have size limit also. Thanks
Guest EZYHD Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Not sure of the model but my mate has the Sharp 37 a briliant picture if I ever saw one.
Mutley251 Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 I actually decided against it as it was going to be a bit too tight for the cabinet. Went for a Sony 32 inch 1080 - and very happy with it. TV was at Big W Doncaster (at Westfield). I did notice when I went back in for a look they didn't have any tags to take the counter to purchase it. I'm thinking it was a good price and they may have gone? They actually have a reasonable selection (way more than I would expect to see at Big W). Most of their prices were around $100 cheaper than JB and $200 cheaper than Myer. I'm guessing they are selling on turnover ... just wouldn't be expecting any expert help?
diesel Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Ticketed prices mean nothing in JB and the like. They are just the starting point. Negotiate.
Mutley251 Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Agree totally with starting point, although a good percentage of people (maybe not around here) are too shy to ask for a better price.
hachoo Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 (edited) Just a heads up to everyone on this TV. Big W is now selling this Full HD model for $998 w/ 3 years manufacturer warranty. The only real downside to the specs is the 10000:1 contrast ratio, but seeing it on display with a Blu-Ray player on show, it looked very crisp. Anyone had experiences with this model before? Seriously thinking of picking one up at that price. Edited November 30, 2008 by hachoo
