whats the purpose? Home theatre or data projection? If the former, i'd try and save a bit more and head towards a proper HT projector.

Thanks guys!

The mits 1500 is a better HT projector than this sharp projector. this is a data projector. There is a Sony VW50 for sale in fleabay put $1300 on it and you never know you may be able to snap up a bargain.

yeah that sony looks preety good, has used 500 hours of lamp though.

It is the same one I am using at the moment, a true 1080p projector and superior to many of the current 1080p LCD or DLP projectors and certainly superior than all of the 720p projectors you are considering. Definitely worth trying your luck on putting a bid on this unit.

do you think i can get it at 1,000?

No, you won't. It is a bargain even at more than $1500 or even $2500 but with the current economic envrionment you will never know your luck so if you are prepare to pay $1250 for an ordinary Benq why not put the bid on this projector.

you see my room isnt like a professinal theatre, im just using it for games and movies etc.

Thats why i think the Mits would probably be more suaitable for that.

If you can get the Sony for the same money as Mits then there is no way you would go for Mits. VW50's PQ will

leave not just Mits well behind its tail but also much superior 720p projectors and it is also much flexible in its

placement option than Mits with greater lense shift. Like I said earlier try your luck you may not get it but if

you win the bidding it is much greater bargain than any projector you are considering.
