Titles Disappearing From Amazon.co.uk?

Over the past few weeks, I've noticed at least 2 titles that are no longer available from Amazon.co.uk: ABBA The Movie and Pan's Labyrinth. There may be others that I'm not aware of.

My understanding is that these titles are no longer being distributed and I find that worrying as it reduces the choices available to the customer, particularly since the European releases are sometimes differently encoded from the USA versions (may be better, equivalent or worse).

Whilst I can certainly understand HD DVD titles no longer being available, I had imagined all Bluray titles that were released would continue to be available until well after the next format change.

Donnie Darko has gone too - was looking forward to this one - the PQ on the DVD version isn't the best.

There are many others as well including 'Take That' concert disc, but like Abba they are being re-issued in the next couple of months.

Donnie Darko has been postponed from release however.

Yeh i wouldn't have thought it would be unavailability through out of print, so i suppose a re-issue is the expectation as HumanMedia has pointed out.

Didn't know about the Donnie Darko information, so thanks for the heads up.
